It is late 12th century England and Robin Longstride (Russell Crowe) is a common archer in the Third Crusade. Following the death of Richard the Lionheart in battle, Robin and three other common soldiers, Alan A'Dale, Will Scarlett, and Little John, attempt to return to their homeland, having spent ten years fighting abroad. Along the way they come across an ambush of the Royal guard by Sir Godfrey (Mark Strong), an English knight with French lineage and allegiance. The King of France had ordered Sir Godfrey to assassinate Richard. Having discovered the King is already slain Sir Godfrey is chased off by the arrival of Robin and his companions. Aiming to return to England safely and richer in pocket than they left it, Robin and his men steal the armour of the slain Knights and head for the English ships on the coast under the guise of noblemen. Before leaving the scene of slaughter Robin promises a dying Knight, Sir Robert Loxley, to return a sword to the man's father in Nottingham.

Upon arriving in England, Robin (who has assumed the identity of Loxley) is chosen to inform the Royal family of the King's death and witnesses the crowning of King John (Oscar Isaac), who is the younger brother of the recently-deceased Richard. The arrogant King John shows no remorse to his poor Kingdom and demands harsh taxes to be collected, sending Sir Godfrey off to the North with the task of raising revenue. Unbeknownst to King John, Sir Godfrey is an agent of the French King and uses this Royal Decree to stir up enough unrest to cause Civil War in England.

Robin and his companions head to Nottingham, where Loxley's father Sir Walter (Max von Sydow) asks him to continue impersonating his son, in order to prevent the family lands being taken by the crown. Loxley's widow, Lady Marion (Cate Blanchett), is initially distrustful of Robin, but soon warms to him when he recovers taxed grain for the townsfolk to plant.

Meanwhile, Godfrey's actions have stirred up the northern Barons, who march to meet King John, and demand the signing of a charter of rights. Having realized Godfrey's deception, and knowing he must reunite his people in order to meet an imminent French invasion, the King agrees. A battle follows shortly where Godfrey's men are interrupted while ransacking Nottingham, and chased off by Robin and the northern Barons.

The film climaxes with an invasion on England's south coast by the French, who are met as they land by the English army. The English are victorious in the ensuing battle, during which Robin slays Godfrey with a well-placed arrow from a long distance. However, King John perceives the French surrendering to Robin, rather than to himself, as a major threat to his power. In the final scenes, King John reneges on his word to sign the Magna Carta, and declares Robin to be an outlaw. In response to this, Robin moves to Sherwood Forest with Lady Marion and his friends to form what will become the Merry Men of Sherwood Forest.

KUALA LUMPUR 2 April - Pelawak popular dan penyampai radio Era, Mior Ahmad Fuad Mior Badri meninggal dunia di Hospital Selayang, lewat malam tadi.

Allahyarham yang dikenali sebagai Din Beramboi menghembuskan nafas terakhir di Unit Rawatan Rapi (ICU) pukul 12.30 malam.

Menurut adik Allahyarham, Rozana Mior Badri, semua ahli keluarga berada di sisi Allahyarham kecuali ayahnya yang tidak dapat hadir.

Katanya, Allahyarham meninggal dunia akibat demam denggi berdarah yang menyebabkan beberapa organ badannya gagal berfungsi.

‘‘Jenazah abang saya akan dikebumikan di Tanah Perkuburan Taman Ehsan, Kepong di sini sebelum solat Jumaat,’’ katanya ketika ditemui di hospital itu, malam ini. - Utusan

KUALA LUMPUR: After battling it out for three days, popular comedian, TV and radio personality Mior Ahmad Fuad Mior Badri or more affectionately known as Din Beramboi, succumbed to Dengue Shock Syndrome.

Pronounced dead at 12.30am at the Intensive Care Unit of the Selayang Hospital, the 43 year-old is survived by his wife Suhaini binti Che Man, 42, and his three children Nil Aina Adiba, 17, Mior Ahmad Shafiq, 12 and Nir Ain, 3.

Din had earlier been diagnosed as facing infection of the blood from an ailment known as Leptospirosis and dengue hemorrhagic fever.

His brother in-law, Shariffudin Che Man, 37, confirmed that the body would be taken to his family home at 2079, Jalan E5/12, Taman Ehsan, Kepong.
"We expect to gather about 9am there before heading for the burial at the FRIM Muslim Cemetery nearby before Friday prayers.
"We thank everyone for their prayers and support over the last few days."
Earlier in the day, the family was devastated by rumours of his passing as well as photos of Din in a coma circulated widely over the Internet.

Sharifuddin said Din's situation had taken a turn for the worse when he flatlined at approximately 11.30pm.
He was resuscitated and his family including his mother, Rahmah binti Abdullah Sani, 74, were by his side.
"At 12.30am, he flatlined again and this time our efforts in administering CPR were not able to bring him back."
By 2am, the entertainment industry had congregated at the Selayang Hospital morgue including his radio breakfast show co-host Aznil Nawawi, Mawi, Faizal Tahir, Rosyam Nor and Afdlin Shauki.

Aznil, who was in tears, said he had last visited Din earlier in the morning.

"I said, Din, everyone loves you, (and will) do what is best for you.
"But if it were up to me, I want you to fight on and come back to us."
Among those in the ICU with his family were singer Ifa Raziah, who had joined TV personality Azwan Ali and actor Zul Yahya as the last visitors.
"It happened before my eyes," said Azwan. "He left in front of me."
The ordeal weighed heavily on all of them and Azwan said at the very least he had been able to be at Din's side in his final moments.

Meanwhile, the fate of the popular radio breakfast show Pagi Di Era, which features Aznil and Din is unknown.

Din was also nominated as Most Popular Male Radio Presenter for Anugerah Bintang Popular Berita Harian (ABPBH) 2010 and had planned to take some time off to bring his entire family to Genting Highlands for ABPBH and to spend the rest of his holidays there with them. It was to be his first time off after a long period.

During the Chipmunks' benefit concert in Paris, France, David Seville (Jason Lee) is badly injured after a falling billboard sends him flying across the stage into electric devices.

After the accident, Dave is rushed to the hospital. Even though he survives, he must stay to recuperate, leaving his Aunt Jackie to look after the Chipmunks, while arrangements are also made for them to go to school.

Arriving at the L.A. airport, the Chipmunks meet up with Jackie, who introduces her grandson, Toby Seville (Zachary Levi). After Jackie falls down a staircase and a luggage trolley crashes into her, she, too, is sent to a hospital, leaving Toby in charge.

Meanwhile, Ian Hawke (David Cross), now unemployed, lives in the basement of JETT Records. A FedEx truck comes around the corner, and a package falls out. Three singing female chipmunks, Brittany (Christina Applegate), Jeanette (Anna Faris) and Eleanor (Amy Poehler), who call themselves the Chipettes, emerge from the package and introduce themselves to Ian. Brittany says that, since Ian made the Chipmunks stars, they want to be stars, too. To prove their talent, they sing "Put Your Records On," and Ian hires them.

During their first day at school, Alvin, Simon and Theodore catch the attention of the females in their class. The jocks grow jealous, physically bullying them and resulting in all parties being sent to the Principal's Office. There, they discover that the Principal, Dr. Rubin, is a huge fan of the Chipmunks. She consequently asks the Chipmunks to save the school’s music program by representing their school in the Battle of the Bands in exchange for not suspending them. The Chipmunks immediately accept the offer. Meanwhile, when Ian receives his daily newspaper, he is shocked to find the Chipmunks on the front page. After he reads the story, he quickly sends the Chipettes to school.

Tension between Alvin and Simon develops as Alvin begins socialising with the jocks of the school. However, the one who is most affected is Theodore, who believes he is losing his brothers because they are fighting all the time.

When the Chipmunks meet the Chipettes, they gain crushes on their counterparts, but are soon forced to have a rivalry after discovering that they are with Ian. The Chipmunks and the Chipettes compete against each other in the Battle of the Bands. During lunchtime, Alvin meets up with Brittany, sharing a slight romantic moment with her until he warns her about Ian’s past. Not believing him, Brittany leaves. Soon after, Alvin helps the school to win in a football game.

At the concert, the Chipettes sing "Single Ladies (Put a Ring on It)". Ian videotapes the Chipettes performance and posts it on YouTube, along with his phone number. Later, when the Chipmunks have to sing, Alvin fails to show up as he was hanging out with the jocks. This causes Simon and Theodore to forfeit the contest, as they can't sing without Alvin. After the singing, Simon and Theodore said that they can't sing twice without Alvin, they just surrendered. Soon after, the Chipettes win the competition. When Alvin finally reaches on-scene, he finds the school closed and is ignored by his brothers at home. Later, Theodore runs away, leaving a letter in the refrigerator to explain his actions. He escapes to the zoo, where he accidently lands up in the Birds of Prey exhibition. Alvin, Simon and Toby arrive just in time to save him and the four of them make amends with each other.

Soon, the Chipettes are hired as the opening act at a Britney Spears concert at the Staples Center. Unfortunately, the concert is on the same night as the school contest, so Ian decides to blow off the battle and make the Chipettes perform at the concert. However, Jeanette confronts Ian, telling him that they want to go to the school contest. Ian refuses and orders Brittany to sing alone at the concert on stage, with Jeanette and Eleanor acting as back-up. When she refuses, he threatens to send them to a barbecue restaurant.

At the school, the school contest is approaching. Alvin gets a phone call from Brittany, saying that she and her sisters have been imprisoned in a cage. Alvin races to save them on his motorbike while Simon tells Jeanette how to open the cage on the phone. The Chipettes unlock the cage lid with Simon's help before Ian reaches them and manage to escape with Alvin on his bike. On the bike, Brittany apologizes to Alvin for not believing him about Ian.

Alvin gets help from Digger, who comes out from the manhole. Ian's limo hit a store. He gleefully gets a RC helicopter. But Alvin has a plan, jumping at the RC. Brittany has a plan: throwing their helmets on Ian. Dropping the remote, Jeanette reaches it, Eleanor throws her shoes in the ground, it hits the moving bike and it hits Ian's groin. Alvin and the Chipettes make their getaway successfully. The Chipmunks are preparing to surrender again, yet Toby sings for them. The Chipettes and Alvin arrive and they all sing "We Are Family". They win the grand prize and save the program.

At the Staples Center, Ian attempts to impersonate the Chipettes while singing Single Ladies. He is booed off by the crowd and taken away by security.

Back at the school, The Chipmunks and Chipettes sing ‘Shake your Groove Thing’ and all of the students dance.

Meanwhile, Dave takes the Chipettes and they now sleep in a 3-tiered bunk bed in each side, the Chipmunks in the left and the Chipettes in the right. They wish good night to their own counterparts. Alvin refuses to sleep and turns on/off the lights at Dave. He trips over Alvin's board and Alvin finally goes to sleep and turns the lights off. The Chipmunks and the Chipettes photos can be seen in the credits.

The post credits show the jocks cleaning bleachers with Dr. Rubin watching them.

An epilogue shows Ian being thrown into a dumpster backstage by security.
